Shinzan (シンザン), also known as Nekuu (ネクウ), Model KWG-0 / KWG-0CH / KWG0C is a Medarot belonging to Koishimaru, being the central Medarot in Medarot 5 Kuwagata Version. He is Hikoo's Partner in the Kabuto Version. He is commonly upgraded to the KWG-1 / KWG0D Model Adolphin in Medarot G.

In the Games[edit]

Personality[edit]

Personality wise, Shinzan is highly unlike Ikki's Rokusho, as he is highly mischevious and playful, despite having a sense of justice, more soecifically, down to earth, having common sense, and is playful, making him far more approachable than Ikki's or Hikaru's respective Rokushos.

In the Kabuto version, the roles of Shinzan and Chrotojil are reversed, and Shinzan serves as Hiko's Medarot. The two have distinct personalities when they speak in the story, which they keep regardless of which side they are on.

Shinzan has a strong sense of justice, and is mischevious and often helpful albeit being inquisitive, and when Koishimaru tries to tell him that he isn't his master, Shinzan playfully responds by asking where is his master.

Medarot 5[edit]

In this manga series, Shinzan takes on the same role as in the Kabuto version of the games and appears as Hiko's partner Medarot with the name Nekuu (ネクウ). Presumably like in the game , Hiko and Nekuu attempt to stop Koishimaru thinking he stole the parts he found, Koishimaru tries to convince him otherwise but Koishimaru and Omeda end up fighting Hiko anyway.

Trivia[edit]

  • Like Chrotojil, Shinzan, is a return to form, and isn't tall and insectoid like Dorcus, nor futuristic and space themed like Sonic Stag. It is sharper and the miyama stag beetle inspiration was confirmed in 2014 as some prototype sketches showed a rounded head, but the final design sharpened it to match the stag beetle motif. It is beginner friendly like Head Scissors, but lacks the skirt armor both Rokushos have, and it is well known to easily crit. Its more shinobi-like than like a samurai.
  • Despite fan demand, Shinzan didn't reappear until Medarot 8 -- possibly not to dilute the KWG roster in Brave, DS and 7. In fact, even Horuma Rin wanted it in plamo form!!
