Hardness Ten (ハードネステン), known in English as Pink Dia, is a diamond-type Medarot that first appeared in Medarot 5.

Description[edit]

The name comes from the fact diamond's hardness is 10, according to Mohs scale of mineral hardness.

In the games[edit]

In Medarot 5[edit]

Hardness Ten is the shooter type Leader Medarot of the final boss battle in the game. The head part is a Missile attack, the right arm part is a Rifle attack, and the left arm part is a Gatling attack. The arm parts use piercing ammunition. The WHL Series is required.

In Medarot G[edit]

Just like Arcbeetle is the secret prized Medarot given to you after you've finished the story events in Medabots AX, Hardness 10 is available after you've won the tournament. Her functions are similar to the likes of Metabee, shooting 3 bullets with the Left arm, one straight bullet with the Right arm, and shooting a seeker missile with her head.

In Medarot Dual[edit]

She is the main Medarot of Apple who is first fought during the post-game World Championship held on the Kozakura Island. She fights while teaming up with her twin sister Raspberry and her Medarot, Blue Corundum in the Kabuto version, or Pigeon Blood in the Kuwagata version.

After her defeat, Apple can be encountered randomly in Tanonaka's Medaparts Factory, where she teams up with Mapple, ranked as Number 3 in the Ranked Medarotter registry, and her Medarot, Asterios.

Once she is defeated, return to the MMF center, she'll send a Buddy request, making her your buddy in the process. She doesn't have a Rank in the Ranked Medarotter registry.

In Medarot 7[edit]

Its model number is now DND00. Obtainable through DLC.

In Medarot 8[edit]

She is obtainable through DLC. Her missile attack however has been changed : she now uses her head to create a pink diamond then kick it towards the ennemy.

In the Manga[edit]

Medarot 5 and Medarot G (Manga)[edit]

Main article: Arakune Ito's Hardness Ten

She is different from her game counterpart, who worries about her partner Arakune Ito's increasingly egoistic and selfish actions. Here, she is domineering and aggressive willing to destroy those getting in her way, and beat both Omeda AND Nekuu (something few characters in the series ever did, being why Omeda was horribly damaged and needs an upgrade, but here, its implied that she fears her partner dying, and during the cave in, she sacrifices herself.

Her actions in the game show that she cares for Arakune, but here, it's clearly fear of death that drives them both, as her line, "My wish", implies Hardness 10 fears parting from Arakune when the woman inevitably passes on. in the game, Arakune herself had wanted an immortal body out of selfish desire and fear of death.

Either way -- the goal was clear. Ito wanted to create a Medal with a copy of her personality so Hardness 10 wouldn't be alone, via the Mother Medarot hidden in the basement of the village headman's mansion. (in the game, she and Hardness Ten wanted the Sun's Treasure Orb, from Susutake folklore to use as a Medal Core.)
