Guide:Medarot G and Medabots AX Guide

From Medapedia
Jump to navigationJump to search

This is a guide for Medarot G and to a lesser extent, Medabots AX. in fact, there aren't many guides on Medarot G, but a few for AX. I'll explain a lot as I go, using data from my research (having CarlosP's playthrough of G and Medarot Dictionary to thank for that.) More is coming soon!

Controls[edit]

In Robattles:

A -- Jump

B -- Use Right Arm

D-Pad -- Left/Right to Move, Down to store Medaforce

Up or Left + B -- use Head (Up + B) or Left Arm (Left + B)

L -- Defend

R -- give orders to partner

--

On the Map

Select -- Save

A -- confirm

D-Pad -- Move Cursor

Start -- go to Parts Loadout

Version Differences[edit]

Between AX and G, there is a world of diffs -- AX is NOT canon and a weaker, effectively a prototype version of G, and due to sharing the same engine, Metabee and Rokusho are weak. G continues (and sadly, concludes) the story begun in Medarot 5, while AX is an anime tie-in. In fact, AX is harder, due to Metabee/Rokusho being weaker than Dechotom/Adolphin. Some even say G is an adaptation of AX, as AX was to test the waters and G the real thing.

AX has little story, G does have much of a story, but its moreso the last time we'll see the characters from 1 to G, until DS and 7. G has two final Bosses -- Gou, for the main story and Ikki Tenryou for the Postgame.

AX only has Sakekaasu as the final boss, and the reward for the tourney is merely Arcbeetle (Rintarou and Hikaru's partner, though Rintarou is rarely credited as the first kid to have one, in a certain continuity). G's tourney reward is the infamous Hardness 10, who was used by a certain someone...

Continuity[edit]

This Game is the sequel to Medarot 5 and the last time for a while you'll see Koishimaru Tensan and Omeda/Nekuu until Medarot 7. This story is set in 2027, like Medarot 5, being roughly 3 years after the time period of Medarot 2 - 4 and Navi (circa 2022 to 2024). However, the changes from Medarot 5 have been dropped, as Medaskill is back to being Medaforce.

Tips[edit]

When you start, go to Practice Robattles. They're represented, by blue spheres next to the attractions. Don't go to any stars, as these are real Robattles, not practice. You need to practice, as Medals early on in both AX/G are weak, literally at Lv 0, having not that great SHT/GRP/EFT/DEF.

Check the Medal List for Medarot G and the Medal List for Medabots AX for info.

Practice Matches in G are all you get until you go through them all in any order. In AX, most everything's unlocked sans the tournament. Early on, hit at least Level 6 or more. Why? Because the partner Medal has "Anything Goes" as a Strategy Panel, and you need it to get better ones.

Story (Medarot G)[edit]

When you begin, the Densuke Land Tournament has been announced, and Koishimaru is raring to go --- if it wasn't for the fact that his Medarotch is malfunctioning, thus, Omeda/Nekuu is all he has.

Thankfully, Shigeyuki gives Koishimaru a new set of parts, as Koishimaru's old KBT-0/KWG-0 parts are unavailable -- the KBT-1 Model Dechotom, a powered shooting type / KWG-1 Model Adolphin, a speedy grappling type.

You got:

(MEDAROT G ver. KABUTO):

Kabuto Medal -- Omeda's soul. His Medal's stats are 10 SHT, 0 GRP, 5 EFT, 15 DEF. the Medaforce he knows is Issei Shageki/Barrage, a Medaforce that unleashes homing fireballs to hit a foe.

Model: KBT-1CH/KBT-1 Dechotom

Dechotom's parts:

KBT-11CH Gun-Metal (Missile attack, 3 uses)

KBT-12CH Quick Trigger (Rifle attack, fast, quickly reloads)

KBT-13CH Knock Hammer (Gatling Attack, slow and must be used after rifle attacks)

KBT-14 Grip Frame (mid-low speed, SHT type Biped legs)

-

(MEDAROT G ver. KUWAGATA):

Kuwagata Medal -- Nekuu's soul. His Medal's stats are 0 SHT, 10 GRP, 5 EFT, 15 DEF. His Medaforce is Tate Issen/Vertical Line, a shockwave that is generated by a vertical slash from his own sword.

Model: KWG-1CH/KWG-1 Adolphin

Adolphin's Parts:

KWG-11CH Stare (Scan action)

KWG-12CH Sewing Eye (quick, chainable Sword action)

KWG-13CH Reamer (a heavy and slow Hammer action)

KWG-14CH Keyring (high speed GRP type Biped legs)

-

Back in business, you'll have to test the parts, and the game allows you to practice. Your second Medarot, a female one, will have Dark Wizar's head, Sanizurau's left arm and legs, and Chucky's right arm, and you only have a Clownfish Medal for this body. The Clownfish Medal has 2 SHT and GRP, 10 EFT and 16 DEF. It's a very, very bad fighter.

There are 7 attractions, or areas, in Densuke Land. Each has a a practice field and a trial match. the areas are:

Ancient Ruins

Factory

Lake

Forest

Polar Region

Seashore

Tournament Site.

You only have the Ancient Ruins and the Forest at first. clearing one of them unlocks a new Stage, as you only can practice.

Go practice the first set of times, one practice fight in each area and you'll run into Saki (Ruins/Forest), Yamato and Benii (Any second stage), Team Waru Gaki, aka, Asahi and Osamu, and Konoha (Any third stage), and finally, Milky (any sixth stage).

--

Densuke Land Attractions (Practice Matches)[edit]

Like I said, the areas here have to be unlocked, as the Ruins and Forest you only have. Unfortunately, I'm playing Kabuto, but I need bit more data for Kuwagata.

Warning -- in Kuwagata, you'll need to be VERY, VERY careful -- SDN(Shinden type)-0CH Parchenon has Freeze attacks, DVL-1 Belzelga is one of the few male Medarots with a healing part and abuses Sacrifice with it, and DGU-0 DonDoguu blocks ALL Power attacks (Missile, Napalm, Laser, Beam, Press and Break.)

Ruins --

in a practice Match, you'll face a Select Member with two PHX-0 Hell Phoenix, with the Leader Hell Pheonix having Acehorn's left arm (Recovery) and Right arm (Canceller)

If you don't go to another stage early on after clearing this one, you'll always face this guy. Its easy to beat him too --two Missiles from Omeda's Gun-Metal can KO him if done right. Fire is nasty though, and it will hurt you.

Beating this area unlocks the Seashore.

Forest --

In a practice match, the Select Member here here may have two UNI-0 Acehorn, the leader with the Plus Driver and Minus Driver arms from SAK-0 Yuchitang, and the partner with Hell Pheonix' arms Fire Gun and Flame Gun. Acehorn is good at Melee in the RPGs, but here he needs to attack, as a pure Acehorn set can't fight.

The Leader has a Kuwagata Medal, and will not hesitate to use Vertical Line when he can, so be careful. Goot thing his SHT is bad, as his Press attacks do not much to Omeda.

Beating this Area unlocks the Lake.

Seashore --

The Select Member here uses an Acehorn duo again. the partner is a pure set, but the leader has Hell Phoenix arms. Both have Kuwagata Medals, which isn't funny. A tip -- guard when you think you'll be hit by a Medaforce. That lessens the damage, as the Medaforce acts like Destroy -- only hurts if you're open.

Also, to cancel a shooting attack, bump into a foe. That causes 'em to waste ammo, especially if it was a Head use.

Beating this area unlocks the Factory.

Lake --

The Select Member here uses two SAK-0 Yuchitang, the Leader with Acehorn arms, and partner with Hell Pheonix arms. Funny that we run into Medarot 1 and 2 Medarots and few 5 and G ones 'cause there are 7 new Medarots for Medarot G. I think both have Boar Medals, as the Medaforce the Boar Medal has here is Double Trap, and both tried to use it to hurt me.

Beating this area unlocks the Polar Region.

Polar Region -- The Select Member here uses a Hell Phoenix with Plus Driver and Minus Driver as the leader, and the partner is a pure set of a LOV-0CH Love Getter, who is original to G. Love Getter can Heal Herself -- her right arm, Koshitorun is a common Gattling Attack, but the Head, Zokkon and Left arm, Ashitorun, aren't SHT attacks but EFT ones, Revive and Repair, respectively. In hindsight, she'd be a pain to beat, and she's Kabuto only, but her head has 15 ARM from what Medarot Dictionary says, making her weak if you headsnipe.

Factory --

I did this one last and ran into Milky --- She always has two WCH-0CH Dark Wizar, and Dark Wizar is status based -- Fire Ball, her right arm, casts Flames that melt armor, and Thunder Rod casts a paralyzing Thunder attack. Cool to have one, yes, to fight one, no, in practice. Her head part is a common Press attack. On Paper, her armor stats are low. in practice, her Legs are fast, with a speed of S, and her Head's NUM stat caps at 10, and her armor vales are 25 (Head), 20 (arms) and 30 (legs). Another glass cannon, and Omeda/Nekuu can take advantage of that easilly.

Your reward for beating Milky is:

(MEDAROT G ver KABUTO):

a Jewel Beetle Medal, which has 0 SHT, 15 GRP, 5 EFT and 10 DEF, and the Medaforce it knows is Meltian, a Status Medaforce unleashing a up-and-down zigzagging fireball. Clearly a Melee based Medal.

(MEDAROT G ver. KUWAGATA):

a Gibbon Medal, which has 15 SHT, 0 GRP, 5 EFT and 10 DEF, and the Medaforce it knows is Chaos, which confuses the leader. Clearly a Shooting based Medal.

--

I'd go back around and grind to Lv6 or more before continuing the story. To continue the story, go to the Tournament Venue -- can't miss it,big building in the center of Densuke Land.

Tournament Venue --

The Select here uses an Acehorn with a Fire Gun arm and a Minus Driver, with a Hamster Medal, and a Love Getter who has a Kabuto Medal. I'd destroy Love Getter first as she heals, then focus power on Acehorn. once you clear this, Referee Kabushira has an announcement to make -- the Densuke Land Tournament Heats have begun.

Densuke Land Tournament (Tournament Heats)[edit]

Warning to Kuwagata Version Players. the Heats, have many foes that utilize DVL-1 Belzelga and his parts, DVL-11 Hellmet, DVL-12 Helming, DVL-13 Hellmight and DVL-14 Hellchaos. He's infamous for Sacrifice attacks, but you'd better guard, or you'll be wrecked.

Forest (Heats)

In Kabuto:

The foes use two custom Acehorn in the first and third Matches, the the second has a custom Yuchitang and a pure Love Getter. Fair warning, they abuse Medaforce a lot.

In Kuwagata: (Coming Soon!)
